Alia Golestan Food Industries was founded in 1950 under its original name, ‘Gorgan Cotton Company’ (Private Joint Stock). The company’s initial purpose was to establish cottonseed oil extraction, and oil refining facilities, along with all related production and commercial activities. Operations began with the launch of a cottonseed oil extraction unit in Kordkuy, Golestan Province, followed by the establishment of oil extraction and refining units, marking a significant step toward the production and purification of edible oils.
With more than seventy-five years of experience in the edible oil refining industry, Alia Golestan is now recognized as one of the pioneers of Iran’s food sector. Over the years, continuous investment and infrastructure development have expanded the company’s capabilities, adding diverse production lines, including various sauce manufacturing lines in multiple packaging formats, oil packaging lines in different sizes and formats, and increased refining capacity supported by an advanced Winterize unit to enhance product quality.
Throughout decades of operation, the establishment and expansion of production plants and supporting units have created a fully integrated and coherent supply chain for delivering high-quality food products. Reliance on skilled human resources, the adoption of modern global technologies, and a commitment to innovation and sustainable development have always been among the company’s core principles.
Today, Alia Golestan produces more than 100 different food products under well-known brands most notably the popular «Rana» brand across a wide range of packaging formats.
